Privacy Policy
What we collect, and what we don't.
Last updated August 30, 2026. This is written in plain language on purpose — it's a straightforward description of how a small, free tool handles your data, not a wall of legal boilerplate.
Information you enter to build a site
When you fill out the build form — business name, phone, address, services, property size, chosen photos, and a notification email — we store it so we can generate your website and let you come back to it later via its link. We don't use that email for anything else unless you separately check the "send me tips" box described below.
Marketing emails (only if you opt in)
The build form has an unchecked, optional box: "Send me occasional tips on getting more customers from my new site." If you check it, we'll occasionally email that address with tips and updates about OnlineByTonight and Pro. If you don't check it, we won't. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing (or never opting in) never affects your site, its link, or its contact form — those keep working the same either way.
If you ask us to set your site up for you
The "let us set it up" option collects your name, phone, email, and best time to reach you. We use it to follow up about hosting/setup and email ourselves a notification when you submit it. We don't sell or share this information with anyone else.
Cookies
We set one cookie, on your browser only, that remembers the tokens of sites you've built so the "My Sites" page can show them back to you. It doesn't track you across other websites, and there's no advertising or cross-site tracking cookie on this site.
Analytics & advertising trackers
The Meta Pixel runs on two kinds of pages here: the ad landing pages you may have arrived from via a Facebook/Instagram ad, and the "your site is ready" page you land on after building a free site or completing a Pro upgrade — the second lets us measure which ad campaigns actually lead to a finished site or a paid upgrade, not just a click. The Pixel sets a cookie/browser identifier used by Meta for advertising purposes — see Meta's Privacy Policy for how they handle that data. The rest of the site — including the build tool itself and your generated website — doesn't run the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or any other third-party analytics or advertising tracker. We do keep a first-party, internal log of basic activity on our own server — things like which template a page view or site build was for, and an IP address — purely so we can see how the tool is being used and fix problems. Nobody outside our own admin dashboard sees it, it's never sold or shared, and it isn't used for advertising.
Your generated website's own contact form
The website we generate for you has its own contact/quote form aimed at your customers. Those submissions are sent directly to the notification email you provided, via a third-party form service (FormSubmit.co) — they go straight to you, and OnlineByTonight never sees or stores that content.
Server logs
Like essentially every website, our web server keeps basic technical logs (IP address, request time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting. These are not used for marketing or shared with third parties.
Accounts & deleting your data
Creating an account is optional — every site is tied to a private link (its token) that works with no login at all. If you do create a free account, it's just an email and password used to keep your sites attached to you instead of a browser cookie. If you'd like your account, a site, or a lead entry removed, reach out and we'll take care of it.
