Terms of Use

Last updated August 30, 2026. OnlineByTonight is operated by Chenango Web Design LLC ("we," "us"). By using this site or building a website with it, you're agreeing to the following.
What this service is
OnlineByTonight lets you pick a template, fill in your business info, and get a working website generated for you — free, with no account required. You can also download the generated files to host yourself.
Your content, your business info
The business info you enter (name, phone, address, services, photos you choose) is yours. We use it only to generate your site. The template designs themselves are released under CC0 — you're free to use, modify, and keep them regardless of whether you keep using OnlineByTonight.
"As is," no guarantees
This is a free tool provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uptime, that a generated site is error-free, or any particular business outcome — search rankings, leads, or sales. You're responsible for reviewing your generated site before relying on it (correct phone number, address, etc.) and for the legality of the business content you enter.
Pro subscription
OnlineByTonight Pro is an optional add-on, billed through Stripe, on two plans: $50/year billed annually, or $5/month plus a one-time $15 setup fee billed at signup (that fee mainly covers registering your .com domain, which typically costs around $11/year on its own, so it isn't refundable once your domain has been registered). You can cancel either plan anytime from your account, which stops future renewals — we don't provide prorated refunds for time already paid on the current billing period. Pricing may change for future renewal periods; we'll do our best to give notice before any change takes effect.
Marketing emails
We only send marketing/tips emails to people who explicitly opt in via the checkbox on the build form. See the Privacy Policy for details, including how to unsubscribe.
Acceptable use
Don't use this tool to build a site for a business you don't own or represent, for anything illegal, or to impersonate someone else. We can remove a generated site that violates this without notice.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, Chenango Web Design LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, for the free tier, is $0).
Changes & governing law
We may update these terms as the service changes; the "last updated" date above will reflect that. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
